Dr. Andrea Morse received her Psy.D. (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) in 1998 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Her training, education, and experience has focused on working with adults, adolescents, and families in a variety of treatment settings: outpatient private practice; college counseling center; residential and group homes for troubled and/or acting out teens and their families; inpatient psychiatric assessment, consultation and treatment; adolescent behavioral medicine; forensic assessment; rehabilitation/nursing homes; and multi-disciplinary treatment for Eating Disorders.

Dr. Morse brings to lakeside Psychology her specialized skills in the areas of Eating Disorders and re-lated concerns, Recovery from Trauma, and the Assessment and Treatment of Adolescents and their Families. In addition, Dr. Morse has experience treating a wide array of difficulties, which include De-pression and Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, Parenting Concerns, Personality Disorders, Grief, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Family of Origin Dysfunction, Sexual Orientation Concerns, Aging and Geriatric problems and Anger Resolution and Management.
Treatment Modalities:
Dr. Morse works with adolescents, adults, and seniors in individual, family, and couples therapy. With teens, she integrates parents into the treatment as appropriate to age and situation. Her treatment orientation is eclectic, integrating family systems, psychodynamic, humanistic, feminist, bio-psychosocial (eating disorders), and cognitive-behavioral treatment models. Your particular concerns and personality will inform her individualized approach.
