“My approach to individual therapy is
client and insight-oriented. I use the therapeutic relationship
to aid in understanding the underlying needs, desires and fears
that interfere with an individual’s happiness and sense of
fulfillment in life. My approach is integrative; while it is
primarily psychodynamic, I use a variety of techniques such as
cognitive/behavioral methods as needed to help in the management
and alleviation of symptoms related to anxiety and depression.
I believe the core of all
individuals is good and health seeking, and with appropriate
listening, understanding, and having an increase in
self-awareness one’s quality of life can significantly improve.
My approach to marital and family issues is to seek
understanding of all participants and their underlying
motivations for the positions they take. I strive to improve
communication, trust, balance, and harmony.”
